A Dying Light And Left 4 Dead 2 Crossover Is On The Way

We’ve seen some amazing video game worlds collide in crossovers in the past, but it looks like one of the best one is yet to come. It’s been announced that Left 4 Dead will be collaborating with Techland’s Dying Light franchise, which is amazing news for zombie lovers everywhere.

Sharing the partnership on its social media channels, Dying Light writes: “Survivors! Are you ready for some serious zombie slaying? #left4dead2 style is coming!”

The caption was shared alongside an image of survivors taking on a horde of zombies, accompanied with a logo reading: “Dying Light: Good Night Good Luck X Left4Dead 2.”

Dying Light developer Techland actually hinted that a collab was on the cards, recently tweeting: “We don’t want you to be left 4 dead waiting for results!”

Unfortunately, we don’t actually know what the partnership means for players, though we’re damn excited to find out! Hopefully it’s going to be something a little more exciting than some cosmetics, but hey, it’s Left 4 Dead 2 so I’ll take it!

If anything, it’s going to tide us over until the release of Dying Light 2, which is due to launch next year. The sequel is promising to be bigger, better and a helluva lot scarier than its predecessor, and it’s emerged that the game is actually going to be perfect for all different types of players.

Developer Techland has stated [via PCGamesN] that it’s planned for the game to be “four times bigger” than Dying Light, and it’ll grow even bigger thanks to its planned DLC.

In an interview with Dying Light 2’s Lead game designer, Tymon Smektala, Prankster 101 asked how long the game would take to complete, with Smektala responding “15 to 20 hours.”

Smektala then elaborated, adding: “It’s very hard to measure in an open-world game…

“Things just happen as you play the game and you have to react to them. But it is 15 to 20 hours for the main story, because the whole content, I would say, is more than 100 hours.”

It might be time to book another week off work…

Dying Light 2 is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC in Spring 2020.
