An Xbox Handheld Controller Is In The Works According To Leaked Court Documents

Due to a recent court document leak, we now know an Xbox handheld console is in the works. Here’s everything we know so far.

This will be the first time Xbox has entered the handheld console market and it will apparently arrive alongside a new home console.

Xbox Handheld Controller

Although we can’t see it in detail, the handheld console looks to be very similar to what we’d expect – a large screen with buttons on either side. Similar to current-gen handhelds like the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, it will give players the chance to play some Xbox titles on the go.

As you can see from this Tweet posted by _XboxNews, the handheld device is in the works alongside a digital Xbox Series X. There also looks to be a cloud-based device.

With handheld devices getting more popular by the day with portable gaming becoming more accessible, it is perhaps no surprise that Microsoft is jumping on board. It remains to be seen when we can expect their hardware though.

Leaked Games

As well as news of new hardware, leaked documents also revealed the existence of a few unannounced games.

If the leaks are to be believed, Fallout 3 and Oblivion remasters are in the works. With Fallout 3 first launching in 2008 and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion in 2006, they are definitely due for a rework.

On top of that, there could be a future Doom instalment in the works and even Dishonoured 3.

However with this news being the result of leaks, it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt until we get confirmation from Microsoft.

With both consoles and games supposedly on the cards, it is set to be an exciting few years for Xbox fans.
