Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Player Calculates Total Cost Of All In-Game Microtransactions

A dedicated Assassin’s Creed Odyssey fan has taken to the internet to solve the mystery of the game’s microtransactions by figuring out their total cost, and it’s not great news.

Though the game can be played without paying extra for the optional add-ons, lots of people are happy to part with their hard-earned cash to ensure they get the “full” experience from the game. So, how much would that cost?

In a post on Facebook’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey fan page, one gamer writes: “So, my daughter asked me how much it would be to purchase every item from the store for AC Odyssey, apart from DLC and Season Pass.

“I worked it out to 66550 Helix Credits, which if you purchased to the nearest Helix Credit packs (67,050) which includes 3XXL,1XL,1L and 1@ 1050, it would be £317.94 .

“This info doesn’t include the Tablet/Legendary Chest/Orichalcum or Steles Maps( As I purchased them and their amounts don’t show, or the recent Helios Pack items. I also included 1 of each time saver, and 1 of each Boost Packs. If anyone can fill in the blanks, I can finally tell her.”

A moderator for the group added: “That seems right. I’ve spent about 120 extra dollars after gold edition purchase(probably have around one third of all items), but that was on sale from 120 dollars and ingot it for 60, so I look at it like I only spent 60 dollars extra after adding 60 to the sale price. (Gamer logic).”

If you’re looking for the “full” AC Odyssey experience you best have some pennies saved up, as an additional £317 GBP (approximately $393 USD) on top of the base game cost is definitely not cheap!
