Call of Duty 2020 has long been rumoured to be entitled “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” with even Doritos leaking the news earlier this summer.

As spotted by fan site ModernWarzone and YouTuber and known CoD leaker TheGamingRevolution, images which appear to show upcoming promotional packs of Doritos leaked online, and seemingly showing off some previously-unknown details about the game.

In case you weren’t aware, Doritos and Activision often collaborate for CoD events, including things like 2XP bonuses, which is what is being shown in the unverified images.

The images seem to now confirm both the title of the upcoming game and its logo.

There’s also the very, very interesting small print shown in the images, which states that the Doritos x CoD promotion will kick off on October 5, 2020, suggesting the game is likely to be dropping that month. October as a release month seems pretty likely, as Call of Duty’s usual annual offerings tend to launch around that time. There’s also the upcoming release of the next-gen consoles, the PS5 and Xbox Series X, so moving the CoD release to be earlier rather than later makes a lot of sense.

Finally we know the official title for Call of Duty 2020. Now the question is: are you excited for what’s to come?
