Call of Duty: Warzone has a snake problem, but not in the way you might think. The free-to-play Battle Royale game is currently receiving weekly updates to introduce new content and patch out issues, one of which is the “snake glitch.”

As reported by a number of players, one of the latest game issues sees players writhing around on the floor like snakes. It’s like a cross between a bad day at the zoo, and a Japanese horror game, and yeah, it’s pretty wild.
The issue here is that the game is making players look like they’re prone (flush against the ground) even when they’re not. If this happens to you and you come across a bugged player who looks prone, they could actually be standing and holding a gun right at you.
Check out one example in the Reddit post below.
Thats a peculiar prone technique from r/modernwarfare
At the time of writing, Activision has yet to comment on the bug, but hopefully it’s on its way out. This is a sure-fire way to get killed, so here’s hoping it’s not sticking around!
We might have a longer wait than usual for the next CoD update. Season Four was scheduled to land on Wednesday, June 3rd. However, the decision to delay the launch has been made.
The official social media channels for the games have released the following statement:
“While we all look forward to playing the new seasons of Modern Warfare, Warzone and Call of Duty: Mobile, now is not the time.
“We are moving the launches of Modern Warfare Season 4 and Call of Duty: Mobile Season 7 to later dates.
“Right now it’s time for those speaking up for equality, justice and change to be seen and heard. We stand alongside you.”
