CoD: Modern Warfare Permanently Adds Mode Due To Fan Demand

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has now permanently added a fan-favourite mode to the game following demand from the players.

Realism mode, which scraps all HUD and makes a headshot as deadly as an IRL headshot, has been rotating in and out of the Modern Warfare game mode line-up, but it looks like it’ll soon be here to stay.

The news comes from co-design director of multiplayer at Infinity Ward, Joe Cecot, who confirmed Realism will soon be permanent over on Twitter. Responding to a now-deleted fan query on the matter [via ComicBook], Cecot said simply: “It is our intention to add it to the filter :)”

Sadly, the vague response didn’t indicate WHEN the change will come into play, but at least we know it’s coming. Plus, don’t forget this won’t affect Warzone players, just Modern Warfare fans.

Speaking of MW modes, One In The Chamber is one of the new additions which is now live in Modern Warfare, and it promises to be just as fun as it was in previous games.

First appearing back in 2010โ€™s Black Ops, One In The Chamber is a massively fun free-for-all which is set to really mix things up when it comes to Modern Warfare.

Activision describes One In The Chamber as follows: โ€œOne In The Chamber is a Free-For-All mode where each player begins the match with a single bullet in a randomly select weapon,

โ€œYou can earn another bullet by getting a kill, and every weapon is a one-shot kill. You only have three lives and the highest score wins, so check your aim, then fire.โ€

It doesnโ€™t end with One In The Chamber though! Other new Modern Warfare updates include Gunfight 3v3 Snipers Only, Gunfight Blueprints and Realism Ground War.

Keep the good stuff coming, Infinity Ward!
