A Nintendo fan has made headlines across the world for rage-quitting life and throwing a PlayStation 4 console to the ground during the ChinaJoy Convention gaming convention in Shanghai.
An upcoming Sony game entitled Genshin Impact was the source of the irate gamer’s anger, with the unhappy chappie saying the title was too similar to Nintendo’s beloved Zelda title, Breath of the Wild.

Twitter’s Daniel Ahmad shared some images from the scene, writing: “When Mihoyo unveiled Genshin Impact for PS4, many noted the game was inspired by BOTW.
“Some fans of BOTW are upset that Sony is promoting this game because of the similarities + they think it’s shameless of Sony.
“This man smashed his PS4 at ChinaJoy in protest.”

That’s one heck of a protest! I hope it wasn’t a PS4 Pro…
Genshin Impact, which has a colour palette, gameplay style and several gameplay mechanics that are – erm – seemingly inspired by the Nintendo title, is being developed by miHoYo.

miHoYo is a Chinese game studio with a slew of mobile games under its belt, and it appears to be making full use of China’s somewhat laid-back approach to copyright law.
Another series of images shared by Ahmad show that the person who smashed the PS4 isn’t the only one left p*ssed off by Genshin Impact.
Seems he wasn't the only one protesting.
