I'm ready for Days Gone 2.

Days Gone Studio Has Reportedly Started Work On Its Next Game

Days Gone might not have gotten as great a reception as the likes of other Sony exclusives such as God of War or Marvel’s Spider-Man, but it’s actually a really fun game once you get into it.

It seems that there might be good news for fans of the game on the horizon, though as always, take the ‘news’ with a pinch of salt until we see some confirmation.

The studio behind the zombies-and-motorcycle romp, Bend Studio, is seemingly working on its next game which you have to presume is for the PlayStation 5 since that’s out in 2020.

Spotted by DualShockers, Bend Studio’s lighting lead Jeremy Vickery recently updated his LinkedIn page, including mention of his work on Days Gone and adding that the studio’s next project is now in the pre-development stage.

Fans of the open-world Days Gone are eagerly hoping this means the divisive game will be getting a sequel, but it could just as well be another IP entirely. Only time will tell.

Launching earlier this year to mixed response, Days Gone definitely didn’t hit the highs of previous PS4 exclusives. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed the thing, though it definitely wasn’t perfect.

Despite not wowing everyone, Days Gone has gotten itself a hardcore fanbase and it’s a much-loved game for a considerably amount of people. A sequel would definitely be a smart move for Sony Interactive Entertainment, and I’d personally love to see the world revisited in the next generation of consoles.

That being said, Bend previous worked on the stealth action franchise Syphon Filter. Maybe that’s set for a reboot?

Would you like to see a sequel to Days Gone, or should Bend try its luck with a different type of game?
