Friendly faces everywhere!

Denver Broncos Filled Empty Stadium With The Full Cast Of South Park

The Denver Broncos have hit the headlines once again, though this time it’s not for a particularly stellar play on the field. This time, it’s because the team invited the entire town of South Park to watch the action.

As the world remains in the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still plenty of places looking to curb the spread of crowds, and sports events are no expection.

Unable to bring together the usual crowds of eager football fans for their latest NFL game, the Denver Broncos instead decided to pack their seats with cardboard cut-outs of the entire town of South Park. Not only were classic characters like Awesome-O, Terrence, Phillip and even an alien or too present, but they were all COVID-compliant in their face masks.

The fake South Park crowd supplemented approximately 5,700 human spectators, who were able to observe social distancing rules to watch the game.

While the game maybe didn’t go as the Denver Broncos may have planned, at least we know their crowd was happy, healthy and safe (albeit a little stiff).

Check out the quiet crowds in the video below!

The stunt wasn’t just to promote the game though, as it also comes just before the South Park Pandemic special.

The 308th episode of the foul-mouthed show will air on September 30, and will be an hour-long special focusing on the pandemic. From the teaser for the special episode, it looks at though Randy Marsh will be offering big savings on his most-recent crop. Meanwhile, the kids of South Park are faced with the very real worry of going back to school.

If you haven’t yet seen it, check out the teaser trailer below!
