Grab your stripy scarves and suspenders – Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality has arrived.
Whovians rejoice! A new Doctor Who game is here. Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Sadly, Nintendo Switch players will have to wait until 28 October.
This latest game is an expanded version of Doctor Who: The Edge of Time. This was originally launched in 2019 as a VR game. Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality includes new storylines, new enemies as well as a meeting with David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor. There should also be a Dalek or two to contend with.

The British games studio, Maze Theory, created The Edge of Reality as well as the VG game it is based on. As reported by Eurogamer, they also created the found-footage mobile game The Lonely Assassins. This was based on the fan-favourite Doctor Who episode ‘Blink’ (which has left me with a life-long distrust of angel statues).
In other Doctor Who news, Russell T Davies, the showrunner who revived the series, is making a return to the series. In an impassioned speech at The Attitude Awards Davies joked (?!) that the next Doctor would be played by Elaine Paige:
Paige is affectionately known as the ‘First Lady of British Musical Theatre’ and performed at the awards event.
