Dragon Ball Z Fans Break Record For ‘World’s Largest Kamehameha’ At SDCC

San Diego Comic Con 2019 is officially underway and that means that all the nerds, geeks, misfits and kawaii fans have flocked to the event in their finest cosplay outfits, ready for a weekend of fun.

SDCC is a great time for fandoms to come together and show their love and appreciation for the franchises they love, and this year it was the Dragon Ball Z fans that did their bit for the cause.

The Guinness world record for the largest-ever Kamehameha has officially been broken as cosplaying DBZ fans met up to perform the stunt made famous by the anime series.

In the tweet below you can see all the Goku fans lining up to beat the world record, in what’s actually a pretty impressive feat (but then I’m 28 years old and have Dragon Ball Z bedding so what do I know?)

The event, which was organised by voice actor Sean Schemmel, has gone down a treat with anime fans across the globe, with thousands retweeting the videos and images from the world record success.

Well done to everyone involved!

It’s a good time to be a fan of the long-standing anime series, as a brand-new DBZ game has just been announced during E3 2019.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the next DBZ game from Bandai Namco, and it looks seriously impressive.

The game’s description reads: “Relive the story of Goku in DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT! Beyond the epic battles, experience life in the DRAGON BALL Z world as you fight, fish, eat and train with Goku. Explore the new areas and adventures as you advance through the story and form powerful bonds with other heroes from the DRAGON BALL Z universe.”
