EA Launches Incredible Official Merch For The Sims 4

When it comes to video game merch, there’s a lot out there that you can spend your pennies on. However, the recently-released merch line for fans of The Sims 4 might just take the cake thanks to its stylish, affordable and whimsical designs.

The line features a range of unisex T-shirts retailing from $20 – $30 USD depending on the fit of the T you choose, and the designs are absolutely phenomenal. Turns out there’s good reason for that, as each design has been crafted by the Maxis developers themselves.

Over on the official website, Threadless, the team writes: “After collecting years of artwork that spotlights the team’s own creativity, offbeat humor, and self-expression, Maxis is thrilled to offer all of you the ability to bring it home for yourselves.

“With The Sims Threadless Shop, purchase official merchandise from The Sims featuring in-game, concept, and exclusive designs straight from Maxis developers.”

I’m a huge fan of this saucy lil number which only Sims fans will understand:

There’s also some, frankly, gorgeous other designs too, most of which are plumbob-related.

In other Sims news, it seems that Maxis might be gearing up to work on a brand-new IP.

Ever since The Sims first released in 2000 on PC, other than a few other flurries here and there, this series has been the studio’s primary focus and so it should, after all, it’s one of the most successful video game franchises of all-time.

However, thanks to a post first spotted on Reddit, EA Maxis is apparently not only advertising for new job positions at the studio, but any would-be employee would be starting work on a brand new IP.

Details on this new IP are very scarce, but it would involve working on a “new, unannounced title” on EA Maxis’ “next big production” and that it will create “excellent user experiences for [the] new IP”.

The role would also require employees to work on “real-world visual effects” such as “smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam and explosions.”  However, the job listing does also feature the mention of “launching a live service”, which should come as a little surprise, considering that this is EA we’re talking about after all.

Whatever it is, only time will tell.
