Every Season Of Avatar: The Last Airbender Is Coming To Netflix

Netflix has revealed that the ever-amazing anime, Avatar: The Last Airbender, is headed to the streaming platform. Available from May 15th, all three seasons of the show will be available to watch (for those in the U.S at least). There’s no word yet on whether or not the program will be available to those outside of the States.

Originally running from 2005 to 2008, the Nickelodeon anime takes places in a fantasy world where some people have the power to harness the four elements. Only the Avatar has the power to master all four, and this generation’s Avatar is none other than 12-year-old Aang. As you can imagine, Aang and his pals get into a whole heap of trouble along the journey as they face off against the Fire Nation.

In related news, Netflix has also revealed a new Pokémon anime is coming to the platform.

As reported by Deadline, the first 12 episodes of Pokémon Journeys’ 23rd season will be premiering exclusively on Netflix on June 12. Sadly for international fans, this will be US-only.

The show’s description reads as follows: “Pokémon Trainer Ash Ketchum has a new plan: see the world! But first, he and his partner Pikachu are headed to the opening of the Cerise Laboratory, a research facility dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Pokémon in every region.

“Ash meets Goh, another boy with boundless curiosity about Pokémon, and both are overjoyed when Professor Cerise asks them to become official research fellows. With Ash as determined as ever to become a Pokémon Master, and Goh aiming to catch one of every Pokémon (including the Mythical Mew), our heroes are in for adventure and excitement as they explore the wide world of Pokémon! “Pokémon Journeys: The Series” arrives June 12, only on Netflix!”
