Everything You Missed at E3 2021 | The ULTIMATE Guide

e3 2021 – SUNDAY JUNE 13TH – 10PM –  WARNER BROS

There was only one thing at Warner Bros. E3 2021 presentation – info on Back 4 Blood! If you’re were expecting stuff from upcoming titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Suicide Squad or Gotham Knights, it’s not coming from the publisher just yet.

But we WERE spoiled with an in-depth look at Back 4 Blood, the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead. Here’s everything E3 2021 taught us.

PVP SWARM MODE

This is a sick 4v4 mode that’s bound to get the blood pumping. We got an in-depth look at how this will play, including details like team structure, gameplay and graphics. You can check it out for yourself below, but keep reading if you can’t be bothered to watch a trailer. I got you.

The 4v4 mode sees players fight it out in two teams – Cleaners and the Ridden. Who will last longer against the horde?

It’s a best of three, so perfect for settling scores. You’ll swap between these two teams, but the gameplay of both are slightly different. The Cleaners goal is to survive as long as possible, whilst the Ridden need to make sure that doesn’t happen.

The more enemies you kill, the more points for upgrades you get. Cleaners can use these points to survive for longer, whilst the Ridden can use the upgrade points to take down the Cleaners faster. The good news is that upgrades last for more than one round, so coordination is going to be key here.

We also took a look at the different Ridden variants: Reeker, Retch, Exploder, Stinger, Hocker, Stalker, Tallboy, Crusher, and Bruiser. There’s more info in the video above and I MADE this video, so of course I’m going to say you should watch it.

WHEN’S BACK 4 BLOOD OUT?

Well, we finally got a release date! It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, on October 12th 2021. It’s also launching on Xbox Game Pass Day One. Can’t wait to sink your teeth into it? There’s an open beta in August, with early access for anyone that preorders the game.
