If you’ve poured 100 hours into Pelican Town, you already know that prehistoric critters are lurking in the base game for Stardew Valley but this free expansion will add a lot to the game. You can dig up an egg, toss it in an incubator, and raise a lizard of your own. But for players a massive new free expansion mod is ready to scale things up in Stardew Valley.
What is Dino Expanded?
The project is called Dino Expanded, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. It takes the limited reptile roster of the vanilla game and blows it wide open.
The mod introduces five new species to collect: Velociraptors, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the Spinosaurus. The creator has designed them with distinct temperaments and a visual style that matches the existing Pepper Rex. So they don’t look out of place next to your chickens.
New gear for your park
You aren’t just throwing these giants in a standard coop. The expansion adds a dedicated building to house them. Plus a collection of new gadgets and items to help you care for them. It turns the farming sim into a proper management game for dinosaur enthusiasts. Just keep a close eye on the carnivores.
How to download
You can grab the files via NexusMods right now. The download page comes with a full installation guide, but pay attention to the warnings. If you are loading this onto a save file you’ve been playing for years, there are a few specific steps to follow to avoid issues.
It is a great way to kill time while we wait for ConcernedApe’s next official update or the eventual release of Haunted Chocolatier.
