GTA 5’s protagonists each have a favourite body part at the strip club

Rockstar is famous for its attention to detail. However, a viral clip has uncovered one of the strangest touches in GTA 5 yet. It turns out Michael, Franklin and Trevor each look at something different during a private dance.

The video points to the game’s code as the source of the detail. According to the clip, Rockstar gave each of the three main characters their own “favourite” body part to focus on at the Vanilla Unicorn.

Three characters, three very different tastes

So who looks where? Franklin’s eyes drift straight to the dancer’s behind. Michael, meanwhile, focuses on her chest instead. Finally, Trevor fittingly stares at her feet.

The clip shows each scene side by side, and the difference is clear. Each character’s gaze moves in a distinct way. As a result, the same lap dance plays out three different ways, depending on who you control.

Of course, this is the kind of detail most players would never notice. After all, most people visit the strip club once for a laugh and move on. Yet Rockstar still took the time to build it in.

Why it actually makes sense

The creator behind the clip admits the detail is weird. Even so, he says he’s impressed by the effort. He also argues that each choice fits the character, and it’s hard to disagree.

Trevor is the most obvious example. He is easily the most unhinged of the trio, so an unusual focus suits him perfectly. Furthermore, the clip ends with footage of Trevor grovelling at a woman’s feet on the street, which only adds to the joke.

Michael and Franklin’s choices feel more ordinary by comparison. Still, the split adds another small layer of personality to each man. In other words, Rockstar uses even the silliest moments to tell you who these characters are.

Rockstar’s obsession with detail

This isn’t the first time GTA 5 has surprised players years after launch. Over time, fans have found countless small touches hidden around Los Santos. For example, players have spotted NPCs reacting to the weather and characters changing their behaviour over time.

That obsession is a big reason the game still feels alive today. GTA 5 first launched in 2013, yet players keep finding new secrets more than a decade later. Few other open-world games have that kind of staying power.

What could GTA 6 hide?

Naturally, clips like this make fans wonder what GTA 6 will hold. The game finally launches on November 19, and Rockstar has had years to fill Vice City with detail. If GTA 5 is anything to go by, players will be uncovering secrets for a long time.

With two new protagonists, Lucia and Jason, there will be plenty of fresh personalities to explore. And knowing Rockstar, some of those details will be just as strange as this one.
