A brand new GTA San Andreas secret has surfaced, and it’s caught even veteran players off guard. GTA San Andreas launched back in 2004, yet fans are still finding things they never knew existed. This time, it’s a mysterious tower in the middle of the desert.
The discovery comes from content creator Claudoxy, who shared it in a viral clip. As he puts it, San Andreas “clearly isn’t done with us yet.”
The San Fierro trick everyone knows
Long-time players will probably know the first part of this story. There’s a tower in San Fierro that lets CJ warp straight to the top. Instead of climbing, you simply walk in and appear high above the city.
It’s a classic trick, and plenty of fans have used it over the years. From the top, you get a stunning view across San Fierro, especially at sunset. Naturally, it’s also a perfect spot for a parachute jump.
A second GTA San Andreas secret in the desert
Here’s the twist. There’s another tower that works in exactly the same way, and most players never noticed it. According to Claudoxy, it’s been “sitting there the whole time like it was waiting for someone to notice.”
So where is it? The tower stands in Bone County, out in the dusty desert. That’s the same remote area players usually visit for Area 69, or simply to get lost on purpose. It’s a lonely radio mast, standing under the sun and hiding in plain sight.
Hidden details like this keep turning up in older Rockstar games. Just last week, fans discovered that a GTA 4 ringtone can ruin a mission if you forget to switch Niko’s phone to silent.
How the warp works
The clip shows exactly how it plays out. First, CJ walks up to the base of the mast. Then he steps into a dark patch at the bottom of the structure. Moments later, he appears on the metal platform right at the top.
From there, the view stretches across the entire desert. Claudoxy then leaps off with a parachute and drifts down towards the railway lines below. It’s a smooth, cinematic moment that feels like it was made for screenshots.
Why this GTA San Andreas secret stayed hidden
It’s easy to see how players missed it. Bone County is huge, empty and easy to drive straight through. Most people only head there for specific missions or for a peek at Area 69.
On top of that, the tower looks like ordinary scenery. Nothing about it suggests you can reach the top. As a result, it has gone largely unnoticed for more than two decades.
San Andreas still isn’t done with us
Finds like this show why San Andreas remains so loved. The map is packed with odd details, from strange landmarks to long-running myths. Even now, the community keeps uncovering new surprises.
It also says a lot about Rockstar’s attention to detail. That same care is on show in GTA 6, which promises an even bigger map with 10 times more interiors. If San Andreas can still hide secrets after 22 years, Leonida will keep players busy for a very long time.
So next time you’re cruising through the desert, keep your eyes open. That lonely tower might be worth a closer look.
