After weeks of rumours, teases and blurred-out images, Xbox and Microsoft have officially confirmed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be releasing on PC for the first time ever.
Hooray!

Sharing the news via its Inside Xbox announcement, Halo: The Master Chief Collection is due to launch on PC…well. At some point.

Last week, Microsoft said to expect some “exciting news” regarding Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which sent the internet into a frenzy of suspicion and hopefulness.

Rumours of the PC port had been circulating for a while, with Xbox expert Brad Sams even claiming the game is 100% in development with a potential unveiling at E3 later this year [via PCGamer].
The teases carried on up until just a few hours before the game’s official reveal. On Reddit, one user shouted out developer 343 Industries, saying they’ll buy a pizza for the first 343 employees that comment if MCC gets announced for PC this month.

It didn’t talk long for Brian Jarrard, 343’s community director to respond. He asked: “what kind of pizza are we talking about?” and later tweeted out a pizza emoji.

Later on, we were blessed with a blurry teaser that people naturally believed to be The Master Chief Collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection originally launched back in 2014, and comprised of: Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4. Each of the games scored themselves a graphical upgrade, with Halo 2 getting a complete overhaul with an HD redesign of its audio and visuals, exclusive to the collection.
