Harry Potter Quidditch-Style Game Is Free To Play This Weekend

Last year we reported on the highly-anticipated and unreleased broomstick-riding sports game, Broomstick League. Due to drop in March of this year, the game is trial-running a free to play weekend where you can live out all your Quidditch World Cup dreams for the first time ever. Hooray!

Earlier this month, Broomstick League was available to play as part of a closed beta, but now everyone can jump in and try it out for absolutely free.

Announcing the news on its website, developer Virtual Basement LLC writes: “We have been absolutely blown away (quite literally) with all the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our Broomstick League community.

“After last week’s close beta test we couldn’t fit everyone in, so we worked with our good friends over at Steam to set up a FREE Weekend Event! No code needed, just download and join during Feb 21 (10:00 am PST) – Feb 24 (10:00 am PST)!

The game (which isn’t actually affiliated with J.K Rowling or the wizard world of Harry Potter) is looking like some sort of glorious mixture of Hogwarts and Rocket League, and I couldn’t be more excited to get stuck into this.

The game’s official description reads: “Equipped with a broomstick, a wand and nerves of steel, players must hone their flying skills and use magic to dodge enemies, defend their goal, and pull off incredible plays in Broomstick League. Soar high through the magical arenas as you try to outscore the competition and gain victory over your opponents.”
