If you need a laugh right now please enjoy this Sonic the Hedgehog fail cake, which somehow turned out a bit phallic. The – erm – unique creation was shared to the ever-iconic Facebook group, Rate My Plate, which sees people post their weird and wonderful meals to be judged by the internet.
A fan of the group by the name of Siân Knight recently decided to gift the world with their interpretation of a Sonic the hedgehog homemade cake, and well…this is it:
In the nicest way possible, I have to say poor Sonic is looking worse than the original version of the live-action movie. With his piped-on features, side-eye expression and incredibly long body, he’s not too close to the original SEGA character.
It doesn’t begin and end with his odd face though – I promised phallic shapes and I shall deliver (or at least, Siân Knight will).
As you can see, the baker decided to annotate the penis – sorry – hedgehog with a version of Sonic’s slogan: “Gotta go fast.”
Here it says: “Must go an alright pace.”
Naturally, commenters had a field day with the cake fail, with one user commenting: “That looks like an enlarged smurf penis what the actual f**k were you thinking….Do you actually have a picture of Sonic the HEDGEHOG for reference… If so you missed the mark by an eternity. Good effort tho better luck in the future.”
Another said: “I look more like sonic than that cake.”
Even in these dark times, we will always find light and penis-shaped Sonic cakes. Personally I’m a big fan of this take on Sonic. Here’s hoping we get a faithful recreation in the next Sonic movie.
