LEGO Announces Official Home Alone And Seinfeld Sets

LEGO has revealed plans to launch to official sets based on both Home Alone and Seinfeld. The news was shared across LEGO’s social media pages earlier this week, where it was confirmed that the new additions will be created thanks to the LEGO Ideas initiative.

In case you’re not familiar with LEGO Ideas, it sees fans submit their own ideas for future LEGO sets, which then get voted on by the community. As you can imagine, the competition gets very tough, very quickly, so it’s great to see some big names make the cut!

The official LEGO Twitter account shared the news, writing: “We’re thrilled to reveal that these fan creations have been approved for production as official @LEGOIdeas sets! Look out for Home Alone: McCallister’s House, Seinfeld 30th Anniversary, and LEGO Typewriter!(these are fan models, not final product)”

Sadly we don’t know when the products will be hitting store shelves, but hopefully they’ll be landing sooner rather than later!

In related news, we’re now just a few weeks away from the launch of the official LEGO X Super Mario sets.

The upcoming new Mario sets feature interactive gameplay that looks fun for both kids and adults.

The product description for the Adventures With Mario Starter Set reads as follows: “The set features a LEGO Mario™ figure that gives instant expressive responses via the LCD screens and speaker. Players earn virtual coins moving LEGO Mario from the Start Pipe to the Goal Pole via spinning and cloud platforms, the ? Block, and super battles with the Goomba and Bowser Jr. toy figures. Rearrange the bricks to create new levels to master.”

LEGO notes that “A free LEGO Super Mario app is available for enhanced play with this gift toy for kids. It has zoom and rotate viewing tools to make building easier, suggests other creative ways to build and play, and is a safe forum to share ideas with friends.”

Expansion Sets will also be available. Check out the full range on the LEGO website right here.
