As you (hopefully) know, the IRL Cold War was all about life on the edge, where any one decision could have made a staggering impact upon millions and millions of people. According to the developers, the theme of choice is going to be prevalent in the gameplay of Black Ops Cold War.

In a recent interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, Dan Vondrak from developer Raven Software, confirmed that not only will there be multiple endings, but also multiple decisions.

“We want to make it really clear, the different choices you made or didn’t make, and how those affected the world and the characters around you,” said Vondrak, confirming players will be made aware of how their decision impacted the story. “[It’s] breaking out of the normal traditional Call of Duty structure.”

Speaking of one specific part of the game, Vondrak continued: “We allow the player to choose from many different paths as they dig through [their] shadowy memories.

“As the player makes choices and dives deeper into their memories, the level will actually reset itself, offering new encounters and new experiences.”

Though we’re not sure exactly how decision making will work within Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, it’s definitely going to offer a lot of replayability if you want to unlock everything the game has to offer!
