We all know by now that there’s a new BioShock game in the works, but we don’t yet know much more than that. Though we’ve not heard any news on the story or gameplay, we have seen some new rumblings about the developers behind the next addition to the beloved franchise, and it’s looking like a stellar line-up from where I am!

As reported by VGC, the art director of the original BioShock, Scott Sinclair, is on board for the new game. Sinclair also lent his talents to BioShock Infinite, so we’ve definitely got the next title’s heart in the right place.
Similarly, Games Radar notes that Jonathan Pelling is also involved with what’s presumably BioShock 4. Pelling served as a designer on the original BioShock, but was also a creative director at the studio responsible for the world of Columbia in Infinite, 2K Australia.

Finally, we also now know that Hoagy de la Plante will be the new title’s creative director. de le Plante’s history with the franchise is a long one, having worked on the original game’s programming, environment art and level design.
It’s been confirmed that BioShock’s original creator, Ken Levine, won’t be involved with the new game.

In terms of new eyes on the project, the development team also have a number of experienced staff on board, including people who’ve previously worked on games in the Call of Duty, Battlefield and Assassin’s Creed franchises.

“As part of our recruiting efforts, we’re looking for people from many different backgrounds and experiences,” said Cloud Chamber’s global studio head, Kelley Gilmore.
“I’m confident that the depth and variety of game development experience at Cloud Chamber will lead to another unforgettable BioShock experience.”
Hopefully we’ll see a game trailer in the coming months!
