Nintendo has announced that they will be adding four SEGA Mega Drive titles for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.
Nintendo has been regularly updating their selection of games available for Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers. A couple of months ago saw them release Game Boy Advance and SEGA Mega Drive games to the service.
The Four SEGA mega drive titles
The four SEGA Mega Drive titles available are Pulseman, Flicky, Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition and Kid Chameleon.
For those, like me, who aren’t familiar with all these titles, let’s take a look at them in a bit more depth.
Pulseman was published by SEGA and developed by Game Freak when it came to consoles back in 1994. You take on the role of a Pulseman as you go against the AI-crazed Doc Waruyama (not much has changed apparently). Before the Doc spreads cyber-terrorism across the world, you must do what you can to stop him.
Flicky was a platform game that originated in arcades back in 1984! Now, you can play it on Nintendo Switch as you take on the role of a little blue bird. Do what you can to protect yourself and her little ones against Tiger the Cat. Flicky even later appeared in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise!
Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition is as well known today as it was back in 1991 when this edition was first released. Quite simply, it is an arcade game where you use a large variety of skills to take down your enemy in hand-to-hand combat. You can also choose from multiple modes to keep you on your toes.
Last but not least, Kid Chameleon is a 1992 platformer that tells the story of Kid Chameleon as he steps into a virtual reality landscape in order to rescue his friends. However, he must also go against fell boss, Heady Metal. With various levels, this side-scroller game was an instant hit.
