The trend of ‘ugly’ Christmas sweaters (or jumpers, if you’re British, which is actually the correct term) is back again for 2020, and Nintendo is jumping on the festive bandwagon with its own official range.
The UK-based website GeekStore is stocking a range of fully-licensed Nintendo sweaters for you to show the world that you’re both super into Christmas and a gamer. Fortunately, the website also ships to the US if you’re over the pond. GeekStore is the only official stockist of these jumpers, so it’s a good thing they’ll ship to the US.
There are three ‘ugly’ jumpers for you to choose from, so you can take your pick of Super Mario Bros, Princess Peach, or you can opt for the official Pikachu one. Each of the jumpers are selling for £39.99 GBP, which comes to just under $52 USD, not including shipping.
Each jumper is 100% knitted and 100% licensed by Nintendo, with the descriptions also mentioning “hand crafted high-quality patch embroidery and enhanced detail” and premium-quality yarn. Nothing’s printed onto these bad boys, so expect nothing but the best for your buck.
Each of the sweaters is available in most sizes, ranging from 2XS to 4XL, meaning you’re almost definitely going to find the jumper you need…unless it sells out of course. These puppies probably won’t be around for too long, so best get your order in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
Alongside the Nintendo exclusive offerings, GeekStore is also selling a range of other video game-related Christmas sweaters. Spyro the dragon, Fallout, Skyrim and Crash Bandicoot jumpers sit alongside some classic Xbox ‘Achievement Unlocked’ and PlayStation versions, all with their typical ‘ugly-but-amazing’ aesthetic.
