The vice president of Blizzard Entertainment and lead director of Overwatch, Jeff Kaplan, has announced he’d be more than happy to see the Overwatch heroes make an appearance in Nintendo’s iconic fighting game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Speaking to IGN, Kaplan gushed: “To the Smash Brothers team, whatever character you want, we love them all. They’re all our babies, you can have any single one of them. We have 31 to choose from.”

He went on to add about his personal favourite Overwatch character: “Tracer’s our girl, Tracer’s our mascot. She’d be my first choice,”
“There’s a lot of great runners up. I think a lot of people can immediately see Doomfist gameplay applying to Smash, but if it were up to me, I’d like to see Tracer.”

The news comes following the reveal that Overwatch will soon be playable on the Nintendo Switch, meaning you can soon take the Blizzard behemoth on the move wherever you go! What a dream come true.
Right now the only new character the internet really wants to see enter the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate arena is the fan-dubbed “Horrible Goose” from House House’s Untitled Goose Game.

The indie game, which launched earlier this month to critical acclaim, has won the hearts of the world – and inspired a million and one memes about the mean ol’ goose that you play as.
Over on Reddit [via the tweet above], someone’s already created a piece of concept art to offer up just a few of the ways in which the Goose Game Goose could be added to the ever-growing roster of Super Smash Bros. fighters.
Somehow I don’t think Nintendo is going to go for this one…but then again, the company did listen when we all asked for Banjo Kazooie.
