It’s officially the spookiest month of the year and PlayStation is celebrating Halloween early with three new terrifying additions to PlayStation Now.

In case you’re not aware, PlayStation Now is sort of Sony’s answer to Xbox Game Pass. It’s a subscription service which allows you to access the Now catalogue of classic PlayStation titles through your PS4 or PC. With more than 700 PS4, PS3 and PS2 games, it’s a pretty sweet deal, even if you might not hear about it as much as you hear about Xbox Game Pass.
In celebration of Halloween, PlayStation has revealed that PS Now is getting three new scary additions which are perfect for the season.

Bend Studio’s Days Gone, Friday The 13th and the remake of MediEvil are all now available to play for free, (as long as you’re a subscriber of PlayStation Now, of course).
“Fight for your life in the post-apocalyptic open world frontier of Days Gone,” says Sony. “Embody the undead hero of Sir Dan Fortesque as you fight to bring peace back to your village. Outwit one of cinema’s most iconic boogeymen in multiplayer Friday the 13th.”

If spooky isn’t your jam, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and Rad have also now joined the PS Now roster, so there’s something for everyone this month!
Sadly for fans of zombies and open-world games, Days Gone is only available through PS Now until January 5, 2021. By my calculations, that still gives you plenty of time to dive into the action!

Meanwhile, subscribers of PlayStation Plus can now claim their free* games for October. Need for Speed: Payback and Vampyr are your offerings for this month, so if you’re a PS Plus subscriber, don’t forget to get them downloaded to your library asap!
