The 2023 PlayStation Showcase has finally received an air date. This news comes courtesy of Sony who made the announcement earlier today.
With no updates for a while, the wait is finally over for the PlayStation Showcase 2023. For those who want to get a teaser of what we can expect from Sony in the upcoming year, make sure you head over to the stream on the upcoming date.
PlayStation Showcase Times
The event will take place on Wednesday May 24 at 1pm PT / 4pm ET / 9pm BST / 10pm CET. It will be streamed live over on Twitch and Youtube. Although Sony is yet to confirm what exactly we will receive news on, they did release a short statement.
“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world. Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.”
What To Expect
What the event will showcase is just speculation at this stage. However, we can expect to see some news about the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. First announced back in 2021, the web-slinging sequel is a highly-anticipated title for the year. Although it is set to be released in 2023, we are yet to receive a release date.
The rest remains a mystery but it will be interesting to see if studios such as Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch have any announcements to make. We can also expect to receive news on any upcoming first-party games and hardware updates.
With the event expected to match E3 in size, we are set to get a lot of announcements. What they are, however, remains to be seen.
