Netflix has revealed that the voice actors of 2019’s RE 2 remake will be reprising their roles in the upcoming Netflix series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a brand new CG animated series that will take place a few events after the events of Resident Evil 4. It will star Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield as its main heroes.
Over the years, several voice actors have played the iconic du. However, for this series, we’ll be getting some continuity with the actors.
In the 2019 Resident Evil 2 remake, Nick Apostolides was the voice of Leon S. Kennedy. Stephanie Panisello played Claire Redfield. Both actors will reprise their roles in Infinite Darkness.
Personally, I really like the fact that Apostolides and Panisello will return with this Netflix series. Hopefully, it’s a sign of things to come for the franchise! I hope both actors will be the go-to voices for the characters going forward.
In addition to both actors reprising the roles of Leon and Claire, Netflix has also released some brand new images of the duo, as well as a detailed synopsis for Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
The series is set in 2006. Leon S. Kennedy, now a federal agent, is invited to the White House and it’s here that he reunites with Claire Redfield. She is now part of TerraSave, who is investigating a new viral outbreak.
Both Leon and Claire, seemingly by chance, meet at the White House at the same time. However, their reunion is cut short as they discover there is a connection between the White House and Claire’s investigation!

You can read the synopsis in full for the CG animated series below:
“In 2006, there were traces of improper access to secret Presidential files found in the White House’s network.
American federal agent Leon S. Kennedy is among the group invited to the White House to investigate this incident, but when the lights suddenly go out, Leon and the SWAT team are forced to take down a horde of mysterious zombies.
“Meanwhile, TerraSave staff member Claire Redfield encounters a mysterious image drawn by a youth in a country she visited, while providing support to refugees. Haunted by this drawing, which appears to be a victim of viral infection, Claire starts her own investigation.
“The next morning, Claire visits the White House to request the construction of a welfare facility. There, she has a chance of a reunion with Leon and uses the opportunity to show him the boy’s drawing.
“Leon seems to realize some sort of connection between the zombie outbreak at the White House and the strange drawing, but he tells Claire that there is no relation and leaves.
“In time, these two zombie outbreaks in distant countries lead to events that shake the nation to its very core.”
While no release date has been announced, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is expected to come to Netflix at some point this year.
Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is animated by Quebico, produced by TMS Entertainment with executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi of Capcom at the helm.
