Red Dead Redemption 2’s Content Will Be Available on PlayStation before anywhere else

PlayStation has just revealed its Red Dead Redemption 2 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle, but it’s left some gamers a little bitter…

Unveiling the PS4 Pro alongside some snazzy images, PlayStation writes: “Today, we’re excited to announce the Red Dead Redemption 2 PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle, launching alongside Rockstar’s highly anticipated game on October 26.

“This bundle includes a 1TB Jet Black PS4 Pro system, a DualShock 4 wireless controller and Red Dead Redemption 2 on Blu-ray disc. This bundle will be available across the U.S. and Canada for $399.99 (MSRP) / $499.99 CAD (MSRP). Pre-orders start today.”

It’s the images which have gotten people a little riled up though, as the box art states the game is a PlayStation exclusive, citing it’s a “Timed Exclusive for 30 Days” then stating that’s “Online Content.”

It’s no secret that PlayStation players were going to get a little more bang for their buck, but now it’s been confirmed through the images that they’ll be getting content 30 days before Xbox gamers.

The box art also confirms that online support and services for the game will allow for 2-32 players, which isn’t really a huge amount compared to the online play of other games…

To top it all off, it’s now been revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a mammoth game that’s going to take up around 105GB of storage space. It’s difficult to compare that to Red Dead Redemption 1‘s mere 7GB of data, considering 2 has incredible detail and style. But it’s still a LOT of storage space…

Rockstar hasn’t commented on the news, but the official images have come from Sony itself.

Understandably, not everyone is pleased with the new info…

What do you think about the news? Will you be picking up Red Dead Redemption 2 when it launches later this year?
