Runescape is about to get seriously roar-some (sorry) thanks to a brand-new update which is set to introduce a whole realm of dinosaurs into the mix.
The Land out of Time, which is a free expansion coming later this month, will include a big game hunter mode, incredibly cool dinosaurs and a brand-new treacherous island to explore.

The new island being added to the game goes by the name of Anachronia, and it’s located in the north-east corner of Gielinor.
Sail over to the creepy and mysterious island and begin your exploration amongst wrecks and ruins to see what you can discover.
“Embark on a voyage of discovery to a long-forgotten land. Hunt down hulking beasts, traverse a treacherous landscape, slay dangerous new creatures and unearth ancient secrets previously lost to time,” says Jagex of the new addition to Runescape.

You’ll have to tread carefully as you traverse the vast and sprawling jungles on your adventure, as the flora and fauna conceal more enemies than just the animals. Even the plants can attack and try to take you down, so you’d best be on high alert. Yikes!
The expansion will also come with a new Slayer Master, Laniakea, who Jagex describes as follows: “Laniakea is the new Slayer Master in Anachronia. She is said to be dark, twisted and mysterious, and regularly drinks poisons to build her resistances.

“While she does little in the way of fighting these days, she continues to crave greater strength. It is the lure of undiscovered power that draws her to the island.”
A Runescape expansion has been a long time coming, and there’s going to be a lot of happy players when Land Out of Time finally drops later this month.
The Land Out Of Time will be free to download from July 8, 2019.
