SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 full game list as well as the price has been revealed in the UK. However, it’s more expensive than expected.
For a while now the SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 (or SEGA Genesis in the US) has been available to pre-order in the United States as well as Japan.
However, things have been left a little late for those in the UK. Thankfully, all has been revealed and now we know what we’re getting with SEGA’s latest mini console and how much it will cost.
How much will the Mega Drive Mini 2 cost?
In the UK the SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 has an RRP of £104.99 and $100 in the US. In the UK, the mini console is exclusive to Amazon. Pre-orders are live now and the mini console will be released this year on October 27th.
Why is this console more expensive?
The SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 is more expensive than its predecessor. However, there’s a good reason why. The first Mega Drive Mini had an RRP of £69.99/$79.99.
The original console featured classic SEGA Mega Drive games only. The mini console included 40 games, plus 2 bonus titles. Whereas the Mega Drive Mini 2 comes with 61 titles, including Mega CD games as well as previously unreleased titles in the west.

- The SEGA Mega Drive Mini 2 console is 120.8mm (W) x 32.3mm (H) x 116.5mm (D) in size.
- One 6-button controller. The controller for the first Mega Drive Mini console is also compatible.
- One high-speed HDMI cable
- Finally, a USB power cable.
