The Halo TV Series’ Full Cast Has Finally Been Revealed

A Halo TV series has been on the cards for a while now, but it looks as though the ball is officially rolling on production. Hooray!

The official Twitter account for the upcoming Showtime series recently shared the first image of the full cast, revealing who’s going to be making their way to our screens in the future.

The tweet also confirmed news we’ve all been waiting for: that production is “about to begin.”

The official cast includes David Sapani (Penny Dreadful) as Captain Jacob Keyes, Olive Gray (Fleabag) as Dr. Miranda Keyes and Charlie Murphy (Peaky Blinders) as a character called Makee.

The role of Cortana has gone to Natascha McElhone, who you might recognise from shows like Ronin, Designated Survivor and Californication.

McElhone will play both Cortana and Dr. Catherine Halsey, who created Spartan supersoliders like the iconic Master Chief.

Soren-066 will be played by Bokeem Woodbine of Fargo fame, and Shabana Azmi will be taking the role of Admiral Margaret Parangosky, head of the Office of Naval Intelligence.

Earlier this year, Pablo Schreiber was announced in the role of Master Chief. Schreiber’s probably best known for his roles in Orange Is the New Black (yes, it’s the guy with the very impressive moustache) and The Wire.

Showtime announced that Schreiber will play “Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity.”

As of yet there’s no solid release date in place for Showtime’s Halo television series, but it’s expected to be coming in April 2021. Take your time, Showtime!
