The Last of Us Part 2 is one of the games that the whole world is waiting for, and it seems like whenever it’s coming it won’t disappoint.
TLOU2 actor Ian Alexander, who is playing the character of Lev in the game, answered a fan question on Twitter and revealed it’s going to be one helluva game.
Video you'll love from around the web
When asked to describe the experience of working on the upcoming Naughty Dog title in three words, Alexander responded: “I couldn’t narrow it down, so here are my top 3!
“1) best game ever
“2) exhilarating, inspiring, life-changing
“3) more chosen family.”
“Best game ever” sounds pretty promising…even if Alexander is more than a little biased!
Sadly, it seems we won’t be getting to play as Ellie in a brand-new adventure until next year at the earliest.
Although it’s yet to be confirmed by either Naughty Dog or Sony, Kotaku top dog and industry insider Jason Schreier has said as much…
“The Last of Us 2 was also planned for fall 2019 but I actually just heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4,” said Schreier on Twitter.
It’s disheartening news (if true), but TLOU2 has huge boots to fill, and if it comes out as anything other than perfect, Naughty Dog and Sony will have a lot to answer for.
Not only does delaying a game ensure it can be its absolute best on launch day, but it also can hopefully give the hardworking developers and team members a little more breathing space!
We have nothing but the upmost faith in Naughty Dog and everyone working on The Last of Us Part 2. Take your time guys, but please make it worth it!
Whether or not the game will be a launch title for the PlayStation 5 or one of the final titles of the PlayStation 4…well, that’s another question entirely.
