There’s A Resident Evil Netflix Show Apparently In The Works

It’s a great time to be a Resident Evil fan as today is the day you can finally play the Resident Evil 2 remake. The game has wowed critics across the board (check out GameByte’s review right here) and it looks like the RE train is showing no signs of slowing down…

Deadline is reporting that a Resident Evil Netflix show is apparently in the works, and it’ll be backed by Constantin Film, the studio behind the RE movies.

The Resident Evil movies aren’t the best. At least, the live-action ones aren’t. If you haven’t checked out the Japanese CGI movies, they’re absolutely fantastic. Maybe that’s the route that Netflix should be taking…

Details are thin on the ground about the project right now, and the rumours have yet to be either confirmed or denied by Capcom or Netflix.

Although Netflix is generally the best at creating its own mind-blowing content (Stranger Things, anyone?), there are some adaptations that it’s absolutely failed at – namely, the live-action Death Note movie.

Right now The Witcher is getting the Netflix TV show treatment, with fans tentatively hopeful that it’ll be everything we want and deserve.

Maybe the success of The Witcher‘s TV adaptation will give us a little more faith in a decent Resident Evil show…
