Remembering the good ol’ days is a favourite past-time of many a 90s kid, and Argos knows it. If you spent your childhood circling your favourite toys, games and gifts in the Argos catalogue each season then you’re about to be in for a real treat as the company has uploaded all of its past catalogues to the website, The Book of Dreams.
Featuring some of the BEST games consoles and Pokemon toys of our childhood, here’s just a few of the pages that’ll transport you right back into the early 2000s.
First up let’s all just take a look at these Pokemon pages! From trading cards to plushes and the original Pokedex, this page just makes me want to crawl into a pit and squeal excitedly.

Next we have one of the most exciting pages of any toy catalogue: the PlayStation page! Unbelievably, the PS1 cost just £79.99, with games starting “from only £9.99 each.” Wow. Take a look at those peripherals on the right too. Bargains galore.

Of course we can’t not look at the SEGA Dreamcast. May you rest in peace, you lovely creature. At £149.99 it was definitely a high-budget Christmas present.

Back to some more Nintendo goodies, Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, along with Pokemon Snap and Pokemon Stadium are all giving me the feels.
Ironically, this Pokemon Nintendo 64 was selling for just £84 back in 2000/2001, which is a heck of a lot cheaper than one costs now…Also, shoutout to the Pikachu pedometer. Anyone else have that thing?

Let’s round it off with some portable gaming goodies from Nintendo. Can you believe the GameBoy Color was just £64.99?! Yikes.

Of course, Argos has uploaded way more catalogues than just the year 2000-2001, even showcasing some catalogues from back in the 1970s. Check out the full offerings over at The Book of Dreams. Thank you Argos for making our dreams come true even as adults!
