Undertale’s popularity is something to behold. The game first released back in 2015 and has earned itself a place in video game history. That is unless you’re playing on Xbox, where the game has been completely omitted.

Thankfully, all of that is about to change, as Undertale is making its way to Xbox consoles and Game Pass!

The announcement was made by Undertale’s developer, tobyfox, who stated that the game is coming to Microsoft platforms on 16th March 2021 (that’s today!).

While Undertale’s Xbox debut is reason enough to get excited, the game’s also coming to Game Pass (talk about showing off). The Xbox version of Undertale will allegedly have “exclusive content”, which from the tweet, sounds like a slot machine, unless that’s a joke…?

The game’s Xbox release trailer is sure to spark some memories for fans while probably confusing players who have never heard of the game. Undertale is one of the strangest RPG’s you’ll ever play. Its mechanics feel like an Alice in Wonderland approach to the genre, with “combat” that emphasises placating your foes rather than punching.

If you’re new to the game, then you’ll want to check it out on Game Pass. However, there’s also a physical edition of the game available for Xbox One, which is playable on Xbox Series X.

A collectors edition of the game is also available through the Undertale website, including a physical soundtrack, art book and a rather pretty gold pendant.

Of course, Undertale is also available on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Steam, so there’s plenty of ways to this wonderful RPG adventure.
