We’ve Partnered with Yorkshire Games Festival – Here’s What’s Going On

We are excited to announce that we, and our network, have partnered with Yorkshire Games Festival 2019. The festival will be held at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford between the 6th and 10th February, with a superb range of gaming events on.

If you’re into anything and everything around the world of gaming then you should come and check out the Game Talks that are on show. Some of the best people from the gaming industry will be there to talk about their games and their careers.

This includes the likes of:

  • Gem Abdeen from Media Molecule (Dreams, LittleBigPlanet)
  • Mette Anderson from IO Interactive (Hitman)
  • Andreas Öjefors from MachineGames (Wolfenstein)
  • Rami Ismail from Vlambeer (Nuclear Throne)
  • Charles Cecil from Revolution Software (Broken Sword)
  • Jeff Minter from Llamasoft (Tempest 2000, Netflix’s Bandersnatch)

Along with many more.

Passes for the YGF Game Talks start at £40/£35 for a day pass or £80/70 for a full pass, and will be running on the 7th and 8th of February. Buy your ticket here.

That’s not all for Yorkshire Games Festival though. The Let’s Play! Family Weekend will be showing off a great range of games from all over the UK, including an awesome selection from the North, and will be entirely free to attend.

We’ve had a few messages and comments in the past about how to get into the games industry. Luckily there is a Young Developers Conference during the festival to help answer those questions. With a focus on 11-18 year olds, there will be a range of events, along with some expert advice, to help young game developers in their quest to make the next great game.

There’s a lot more happening during the course of the week too so make sure to check out the Yorkshire Games Festival website for more information and to book your tickets.
