Age of Empires 4 was officially unveiled to the world during Xbox’s X019 event, which is currently underway in London.
The game was heavily rumoured to be getting its reveal tonight but that didn’t make the official moment any less exciting!
Microsoft has officially treated the world to its first glimpse of the game, which seems to be the Age of Empires we know and love but seriously, seriously amped up.

The gameplay trailer for Age of Empires 4 bears the following description: “The acclaimed RTS franchise returns with Age of Empires 4. Experience the epic, historical battles that shaped the modern world.”
Age of Empires is one of the most adored franchises in the history of video games, selling millions of copies since its first title way back in the 1990s.
The historical real-time strategy video games haven’t seen a new addition to the line-up for a long time now, but from what we’ve been shown so far, Age of Empires 4 definitely looks like it’s going to be worth the wait!
You’re definitely going to want to book more than just a little time off work for this one…
