Xbox has announced that it is offering YouTube Premium as a new Perk for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Rejoice!
YouTube Premium is an additional service offered alongside the free version of YouTube. In the UK, this premium service costs £11.99 per month and $11.99 for the US. So, it doesn’t come cheap, especially alongside the prices of other streaming services.
However, you can now sample YouTube Premium to see if the service offers value for you. If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can try three months of YouTube Premium as a Perk at no additional cost.
What is YouTube Premium?
YouTube Premium is a subscription service in addition to the free version of YouTube. By subscribing to YouTube Premium, you can watch ad-free content across the platform as well as watching exclusive “YouTube Originals” content. Furthermore, you can also download videos, as well as in the background on mobile devices. You will also gain access to the YouTube Music streaming service.
How do I claim my three-month trial of YouTube Premium?
You can access the trial via the Perks gallery on your Xbox console or via PC and the mobile app. However, if you don’t want to subscribe to YouTube Premium once the trial is over, remember to cancel the subscription before you are charged.
What other Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks are available?
This month, you can also try Crunchyroll Premium for 75 days. In terms of gaming content, there’s a Disney+ Perks Pack for Marvel’s Avengers, a Season 4 Character x Skin Bundle for Eternal Return, and a Transformers Starter Pass for Smite x Transformers.
