Since most of the world is still in lockdown, video apps like Zoom have never been so popular. Apps like Zoom are a great way to connect with friends (and – sigh – colleagues) , but now they’re a great way to connect with your favourite celebrities thanks to Cameo.

If you’re not familiar with Cameo, you basically pay your favourite actor, musician, influencer etc to record a short message for you. They make nice little gifts, and there’s even been some cool gaming-related things happening on Cameo (like The Last of Us actor Troy Baker playing the guitar as Joel).

As lockdown continues, the Cameo stakes are now even higher, with a number of celebrities offering to drop into your Zoom call for 10 whole minutes. The experience isn’t cheap, but the star-studded line-up includes the likes of Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings/Stranger Things) and the one and only Tony Hawk.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is coming in September, and if you’re dying to talk about the remake then a Cameo call might be your opportunity. Sadly, a 10 minute Zoom call with Tony Hawk is not a cheap venture, and will set you back a whopping $1000 USD, which is about £807 GBP.
The experience can be shared with up to four friends though, so if you and three pals want to split the cost, that’s totally cool. You can find out more about booking a Tony Hawk Cameo experience right here.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is dropping later this year. Activision has said in a statement: “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will blend all the original levels, pro-skaters, old-school tricks and more that gamers remember from the ‘90s and ‘2000s with new, beautifully recreated levels. This faithful remaster will also include blockbuster songs from the original franchise.”

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on PC through the Epic Games Store, on September 4, 2020.
