Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gets new trailer and Collector’s Edition

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom gets a brand-new gameplay trailer, and a Collector’s Edition has also been announced.

Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The trailer features the vast kingdom of Hyrule that we know and love, only with new enemies, locations as well as gadgets and more.

Should we just call Link, Inspector Gadget?

Moreover, as we’ve seen in previous trailers, much like Skyward Sword, Link will be able to travel to the skies via various contraptions including a bird, paraglider and other devices.

What’s more, Link will also be able to utilise other mechanical devices to traverse on land, as well as have the loyal aid of Epona by his side. All in all, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom looks to be a direct improvement on Breath of the Wild with some added bells and whistles.

Tears of the Kingdom looks so good!

Furthermore, Tears of the Kingdom will have an accompanying Collector’s Edition. Sadly, however, this version doesn’t come with something similar to the Master Sword Statue included in Breath of the Wild Collector’s Edition. That being said, it’s still rather snazzy.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition includes:

  • The Game
  • Steelbook case
  • Four-pin badge set
  • Poster
  • Artbook

The Breath of the Wild sequel will also have a new amiibo figure launching alongside the game. When tapped, you will unlock a special fabric for Link’s paraglider. In fact, previous amiibo’s will also unlock additional fabrics too.

Finally, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will release for the Nintendo Switch on 12th May 2023.
