16-Year-Old Scoops $3 Million Prize In Fortnite World Cup

The first ever Fortnite World Cup is now done and dusted, with several people taking away the big-money prizes for the solos competition.

Perhaps most surprising of all is 16-year-old Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf , who managed to steal first place and nab himself a cool $3 million USD along the way.

Bugha absolutely annihilated the competition, nearly doubling the score of the second-placing contestant. He landed the top spot with a total of 59 points, with second place scoring 33.

It took six serious intense sessions for the game to get got, but Bugha absolutely pulled it out of the bag with this one. And if he want to share any of his prize pool I’m right here.

Fellow professional players Nyhrox and Aqua also scored big during the World Cup, ending up with $1.5 million after taking first place in the duos championship.

15-year-old Jaden Ashman, also known as Wolfiez, placed second with his teammate during duos, and will be splitting $2.25 million with his partner in crime.

According to the teen’s mum, Lisa Dallman, it’s been a struggle accepting her son as an esports player, but I can imagine this huge win might have helped her come around…

Celebrating the winner on Twitter, Epic Games confirmed the winners alongside some celebratory photos of the event.

Well done to everyone involved!
