Marvel Reveals Unseen Heartbreaking Deleted Scene From Avengers: Endgame

A brand new scene, released exclusively by USA Today, explores the moments following Tony’s big sacrifice in more detail.

Just when you thought you could start getting over the events of Endgame, Marvel has hit us all with a gut punch and a half.

Rather than ending after Pepper kisses Tony on the cheek, the clip shows the rest of the Avengers taking a knee one-by-one as they pay their respects to their fallen comrade. RIP Tony Stark, your legacy will live on.

Well, everyone apart from Gamora.

“It’s a beautiful scene with moving performances, but we filmed it prior to Tony Stark’s funeral,” directors Joe and Anthony Russo told USA Today. “The funeral scene ultimately became a more resonant and emotional reflection on Tony’s death for us.”

The clip reignited the debate over what actually happened to Gamora following Thanos’ defeat. It’s been a talking point among fans since we seen Quill seemingly about to embark on a search for her at the end of the movie.

Since she began the film as a member of Thanos’ army, would she also have fell victim to Tony’s snap? It seems not, as she’s clearly still very much alive as the rest of the members of the Avengers take a knee.

Presumably we’ll have to hold out until the next Avengers film, Guardians 3, before we learn of her fate. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is yet to have a release date confirmed but there is plenty of other bits of Avengers content coming to keep you entertained until then.
