It has been revealed that the Vampire: The Masquerade series is getting a battle royale game next year.
With graphic novels, interactive novels, board games, various video game adaptations and more, it’s fair to say that the Vampire: The Masquerade universe is an expansive one.
Honestly, there’s been so many video games recently released and announced in this universe. It’s pretty difficult to keep track at this stage.
The most well-known video game instalment is from the mainline series. That began with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines which released for PC back in 2004.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was originally supposed to release last year as a sequel. The sequel is now expected to release in 2021, after being delayed various times.
So as if it wasn’t difficult enough to keep up-to-date on this series as it is. Vampire: The Masquerade is now getting its very own standalone battle royale game.
So What Is Known About Vampire: The Masquerade Battle Royale?
Not much is known about this battle royale game at this time other than it will be developed by Tencent owned Sharkmob.
The game will have you utilise your vampire abilities as you battle solo or with other players against various vampire factions.
The teaser trailer announcing the battle royale seems to be a mixture of pre-rendered in-game footage. Just as the video hits the 18-second mark there is some top-down gameplay.
We do also know that this Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale will be the first game developed by Sharkmob and it will release sometime from Q3 2021
It’s not known what platforms it will arrive to, though I’m sure PC is a safe bet.
Are you looking forward to this game? Or do you think it will be dead on arrival?
