Animal Crossing Update Brings Back Dream Suite, Fireworks & More

Nintendo has finally (FINALLY!) revealed the next summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and fans are sure to be thrilled with what’s coming.

According to the update’s trailer, we’ll be seeing the long awaited Dream Suite making its New Horizons debut. The Dream Suite will allow you to visit other players’ islands by dreaming. This – we hope – will let you catalogue their designs and steal some inspiration without having to check Pinterest. Nice!

Fireworks will also be coming back, this time with the ability to customise your own designs to light up the night in style. Redd’s Raffle also makes an appearance in the trailer, along with bubble blowing and head boppers. All looking good so far!

It looks like we’re also going to be seeing more of Isabelle, who is shown milling around with the villagers in the trailer, instead of being confined to her desk chatting on about TV shows and missing socks. It’s about time she did something to be honest…

Perhaps most exciting is the addition of Island Backup and Restoration – finally! In a follow up announcement, the official Animal Crossing Twitter account a.k.a Isabelle tweeted: “[Announcement] The Island Backup & Restoration Service allows #NintendoSwitchOnline members to upload their game data online & recover data in the event of loss or damage. The ability to transfer #ACNH save data is planned for later this year.”

The update will land on July 30, and will be free for all those who own Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Check out the update trailer below!

I don’t know about you, but this is all looking pretty darn great to me! It’s even more exciting to see a Halloween-themed update teased for Fall. Costume contests, trick-or-treating, pumpkin picking and spooky ghosts, pretty please Nintendo!
