Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a really great game that wholly embraced the era it way set in, but its latest new character seems a little out of place…
Named Testiklos the Nut, the new mercenary added into AC Odyssey has made an appearance in the game before, but he’s now an actual character with a real storyline to boot.
I’ll give you three guesses as to his backstory.
Okay, ready? Well, Testiklos the Nut is sad because he’s become separated from his half-brother, Testikles.
Ubisoft…u ok hun?
Sharing the news on Twitter, the official Assassin’s Creed account tweeted: “Having been separated quite early in his life from his half-brother Testikles, his mood has been unstable ever since. He never felt as secure than with his own kin, so he deals with the separation by breaking things.”
Naturally, Ubisoft’s very tongue-in-cheek reference to male anatomy has raised a lot of eyebrows on Twitter, especially when the company then tweeted: “Just wait till you see the reward’s name for defeating him.”
Ubisoft’s really setting the bar high with this one…
Ubisoft is still riding the wave of positivity its received since the devastating fire at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
The Cathedral had been lovingly and painstakingly recreated in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Unity, and following the news of the fire, the company decided to give away its game for free for a limited time.
This lead to the game being review-bombed in the best way possible, with hundreds of people leaving the game top reviews because of its realism.
So I guess if Ubisoft really wants to make testicle jokes, now’s the best time to do it!
What do you think of Testiklos the Nut? Have you earned yourself the legendary trophy that Ubisoft teased?
