Assassin’s Creed Valhalla PC Is An Epic Games Store Exclusive

It’s been confirmed that the newly-announced Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store. The news is sure to be met with controversy, as the EGS isn’t exactly the gaming community’s favourite way to play their games.

The news comes directly from Ubisoft, following the first official trailer for the upcoming game.

The trailer, which you can watch below, looks absolutely insane, but there’s even more coming to the game than you might think.

It’s been confirmed that, just like in 2018’s smash hit, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players will have a choice between playing as a female or a male character. The female hero is named Eivor, and you can check out what she’ll look like in the image of her statuette below!

According to Eurogamer, Valhalla will focus on building your viking settlement, and will be set across Scandinavia, Norway and Britain. Gear is customisable, as is your beard and your tattoos, which is very cool! Your companion friend will be a raven.

Valhalla takes place in the Viking era, and promises to be the biggest AC game so far.

Ubisoft Montreal, the studio who is leading the development, recently took to Twitter to thank the 14 studios involved with the game. For reference, Odyssey was worked on by ten studios, which should give you an indication of the scale Valhalla is aiming for.

The team tweeted following yesterday’s Valhalla name reveal, writing: ” Exciting! An immense congratulations to our studio warriors for all the good work and passion building to that reveal. We’d also like to thank the 14 co-dev studios all around the world. You know who you are, and we’re thankful for your dedication! Skàl!”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla releases holiday 2020, and will be available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X, PS5 and Stadia. Check out the brand-new reveal trailer below!
