Back 4 Blood Has Reached Over 6 Million Players Since Launch

Developer Turtle Rock Studios has announced that co-op shooter Back 4 Blood has surpassed 6 million players since it launched 2 weeks ago.

In a tweet announcing the news, the devs said: “Thanks for all your hard work, Cleaners! With this many Cleaners on our side, we’ll stop the Ridden in no time.

Back 4 Blood is a co-op monster shooter that is playable solo or with up to four players. Turtle Rock Studios, the developers behind the Left 4 Dead series never got to release the third instalment in the fan-favourite zombie horror shooter. So this new co-op shooter is very much considered to be the spiritual successor.

Turtle Rock Studios’ latest title is certainly a fun game, but it’s probably safe to assume that much of its success generating over 6 million players is largely down to the game launching on Xbox Game Pass.

Have you been enjoying Back 4 Blood?

I am sure Back 4 Blood would have been a successful game regardless, but I can see a lot more people on my friend’s list playing the game on Xbox rather than PlayStation. It will also be interesting to see the player numbers 6 months from now.
