Bethesda is enjoying a lot of love from its huge fandom right now, as gamers eagerly await one of the year’s most highly-anticipated game, Fallout 76.
Riding the wave of the game’s hype, Bethesda recently decided to poke a little fun at one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, and took to Twitter to troll none other than Tom Cruise.
Bethesda tweeted: “Hey @TomCruise, we’re huge fans. Loved your take on Oblivion and now Fallout. Want to get a head start on our next thing? #Callme.”

In case you didn’t get it, Tom Cruise starred in the 2013 box-office smash, Oblivion. And now it’s just been announced that the latest film in the Mission Impossible series will be called Mission Impossible: Fallout.
…d’ya geddit now?
If not, don’t worry, because most of Twitter didn’t get it either.
Users have responded to the tweet asking if Mr Cruise will be featured in an upcoming game or asking for the two parties to collaborate.
Damn, and I thought these Atom followers were bad enough, now I’m going to have to fight Scientologists in FO5?

“Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to find the Emperor’s son so he can use an enchanted Pip Boy to restart the nuclear reaction that stops Institute synths from teleporting in from Oblivion to destroy the Wasteland. This holotape will self-destruct in 5 seconds.”

Another joked: “”Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to find the Emperor’s son so he can use an enchanted Pip Boy to restart the nuclear reaction that stops Institute synths from teleporting in from Oblivion to destroy the Wasteland. This holotape will self-destruct in 5 seconds.”
Hilarious.
Fans are loving the interaction, and have praised Bethesda for its hilarity, after all, who doesn’t love a good trolling, even if it isn’t fully understood by everyone.
Sorry folks, doesn’t sound like we’ll be seeing Tom Cruise teaming up with Bethesda anytime soon, but who knows? Stranger things have happened…
